Baptism

Today, I have decided to get baptized not only to completely give myself to Him but to also thank Him for giving me the ability to do the things that I'm able to do, like singing and playing amazing musical instruments. I'm a witness to the miracles for I have seen His glory transform others. I, as well as my family, has dealt with so much, yet He's here to pick us right back up and brush us off.

God has been with me since the very beginning, at my first breath, my first laugh. He shaped me. I'm His creation, one which will be used for His kingdom.

My decision to follow Jesus:

You are probably wondering why Pastor Nancy is getting baptized today. Well, I was baptized once before at the age of 12. Why did I get baptized then? Well, you see, my father is a Pastor and back then, it was a custom to get baptized at age 12. In all honesty, I got baptized due to tradition. At that time, I truly can’t say that I was ready to make the decision to follow Christ for the rest of my life.

Even though I have been a Christian all of my life, I have not lived a Christian life all of my life. I have to admit that I have done some shameful things in my life and that I even abandoned my God and my faith at times.

Today, I’m doing something that I should have done a long time ago. Today, I publicly declare as a testimony to you, Unify Church, to my family, and to God that, with all understanding, with all commitment, with all my heart, mind, and soul, and with all devotion I’ve decided to follow Jesus, today and forever.

I’m all yours God. Here I am, send me.
